We take our responsibility to the environment very seriously. So seriously, in fact, that in 2009 we relocated our office to the Belvedere neighborhood in Albemarle County. Belvedere is a New Urbanist community, adhering to smart growth, sustainable tenets. Belvedere is the first New Urbanist community in Albemarle County. Among the initiatives we've underaken in our office to reduce our consumption of resources and our carbon footprint are:
- Recycling
- Use of fluorescent lighting whenever possible to reduce consumption of electricity
- Electronic data/records management when possible to reduce paper usage
- Nightly/weekend temperature setback to reduce electricity consumption
